My New Reality

I last wrote in early April. Since then, my life has been a whirlwind of adventure. It feels as if I entered another reality.

Many of you know that I had the great fortune of attending Woofventures – a dog photography retreat in Scotland in early May. Talk about checking off a bucket list item! It was the most incredible experience.
In addition, Mark and I tacked on an additional two weeks and traveled through Wales and parts of England, and then a couple of days in Scotland before the retreat started. We finished in Edinburgh just in time for the Tartan Parade right outside of our hotel.
The retreat was even better than I anticipated. I was challenged mentally, artistically, and physically. Sheep roamed freely in many of the places we were working, so tip-toeing was necessary so you didn’t step in anything! (The lambing season was right before we got there! All of the lambs were still nursing and so dang adorable!)
Let me momentarily sing the praises of the instructors we had – Elke Vogelsang and Kristen Murray. Follow the on Instagram (or Facebook) @wieselblitz (Elke) and @kristenmurrayoutdoors. They are so talented and so patient. I am in awe of these amazing women. And the participants? What a wonderful group of women! We had so much fun and I think because we had this special shared experience, there is a bond.
We got home on May 12. And, life did not fall back into a routine. For the past month, my new reality has been crazy busy and I am loving every bit of it. But, I will save this for another post.
