Why?

Wow! It has been way too long since I have posted! I was very busy last fall, then I took the winter off for the most part to assess how I wanted to move forward with my pet photography business.
I just finished last week’s Sandy City Famers Market session. It was so much fun! I met so many nice people with some gorgeous dogs, and it was so great to meet my favorite Siamese, Tuna, again along with his parents. He is absolutely the most chilled cat on the planet!
Why do I focus on pet photography? Number 1: It is a blast and loads of fun! My goal is to capture their dignified looks, their loving looks, and, perhaps even their goofy looks, all in one session. I want to capture what you are looking for. Your pet is your family member - you have laughed with, (and at) them, cried over them and with them, and you have cleaned up after them. They are your friend, confidant, muse, and beloved companion. They are family.
In our crazy, turbulent world right now, pets are oftentimes our common link… and our sanctuary. If I can offer a tiny, but critical relationship commonality, I will do that. If I can assist in a pet transitioning, I will do that. If I can document the passage of time, I will do that.
Pets are embedded in our soul. They become part of who we are. If you have, and love a pet, your ability to love has grown. If you have, and love a pet, your ability to empathize has grown. If you have, and love a pet, your level of compassion has grown.
Thank you for my Ted Talk.
